Code of Conduct

Thank you for your interest in Kwekence. We’re delighted to have you on board as a registered member of our community. We hope that your mentorship journey is every bit as rewarding and substantive as you envision. To help cultivate a productive, respectful, and meaningful mentorship experience for all members of our community, we have formulated a User Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct applies to every member of our community, at all times, for both virtual and in-person sessions. By using this Platform to participate in mentorship sessions, you agree to adhere to this code of conduct. Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct might result in the suspension or revocation of your privilege to use this service.

Mentor Guidelines:

  • Conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times when interacting with mentees.
  • Be kind and courteous in all interactions with mentees.
  • Attend every mentorship session promptly and with all required materials.
  • Refrain from discussing with mentees any topics that are irrelevant, obscene, and/or inappropriate.
  • Obtain explicit permission from mentees before recording any mentorship session.
  • Promptly attend all scheduled mentorship sessions.
  • If you’re running late or need to cancel, inform your mentees as soon as possible so that they can make other arrangements. Remember, if you have to cancel, mentees are entitled to a full refund.
  • Schedule and conduct all in-person mentorship sessions in public places.
  • Provide mentees the link to your virtual mentorship sessions reasonably in advance of their session.

Mentee Guidelines:

  • Conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner during all interactions with mentors.
  • Be kind and courteous in all interactions with mentors.
  • Obtain explicit permission from the mentor before recording any mentorship session.
  • Refrain from discussing with mentors any topics that are obscene, inappropriate, and irrelevant.
  • Promptly attend all scheduled mentorship sessions.
  • If you’re running late or need to cancel, out of respect, inform your mentor as soon as possible. Remember any time you miss is forfeited unless the mentor determines otherwise.

Guidelines for All Users:

These guidelines apply to all users of the Platform. Nevertheless, as a user of this Platform, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • As a user of our Platform, you’re responsible for adhering to and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, ethical, and professional responsibilities.
  • You are responsible for conducting yourself in a professional and respectful manner during all interactions with users.
  • A mentorship relationship is only effective as the feedback provided. Users should be sure to provide constructive reviews and feedback about each other.
  • The Kwekence community is a welcoming community. As a user, you agree to treat each user fairly and without preference for race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or any other characteristic.
  • When attempting to resolve a conflict, try to place yourself in the other person’s position and see it from their perspective. If neither party is able to resolve the conflict amicably, contact us support@kwekence.com for assistance.
